ECHA have published 9 new proposals for SVHCs

On 5 September 2017, ECHA published 9 Annex XV dossiers, which were recently submitted by Member States or ECHA to identify potential Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs):

  1. Dechlorane Plus [covering any of its individual anti- and syn-isomers or any combination thereof] [CAS# 13560-89-9]
  2. Bisphenol A (BPA) [CAS# 80-05-7]
  3. Benz[a]anthracene [CAS# 56-55-3]
  4. Cadmium nitrate [CAS# 10325-94-7]
  5. Cadmium carbonate [CAS# 513-78-0]
  6. Cadmium hydroxide [CAS# 21041-95-2]
  7. Chrysene [CAS# 218-01-9]
  8. Reaction products of 1,3,4-thiadiazolidine-2,5-dithione, formaldehyde and 4-heptylphenol, branched and linear (RP-HP)
  9. Tricobalt tetraoxide [CAS# 1308-06-1]

These substances are now under consultation, which means that interested parties have 45 days to comment. The deadline for commenting is 20 October 2017. The reports and commenting forms can be accessed on ECHA’s website.
